Lantau Island

Lantau Island is about a 40 minute hovercraft ride from Hong Kong. It had been a fairly remote location until the new airport was recently built there. It is most famous for the giant statue of Buddha. Now there are a number of transportation links between HK and the island. Here are a few pictures that I took in 1995.
