In this psychological thriller, dead men are showing up around HK like mushrooms after a summer rain. All of them have been brutally killed during the moment of orgasm; thus the analogy to female spiders. They know this because they find sperm still in the penis. Michael Wong is a cop who goes undercover at an art gallery owned by Jade Leung who is suspected of having some connection to the murders.
Suspects are thrown at the viewer in random fashion. Is it Jade or her
mysterious twin sister? Or her psychiatrist or the slowly going insane coroner
or the gay friend. Well you don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure this
one out. Watson could have managed this one without any help. Unfortunately,
Wong is not up to those standards as it takes a while for him to put it all
together. Not exactly a top notch grab your seat thriller, but Jade looks
fabulous and sexy and her acting has its moments. The last fifteen minutes
gets a bit bloody as the killer decides to clean house. Besides Jade and
Michael there is also Lowell Lo, Valerie Chow and Dayo Wong.
