It is about the triad gang warfare on Macao and it traces the character that Simon Yam plays from his entry into the triads to becoming the big boss. Yam is good, but the film is a steady stream of one bloody street fight after another until they become quite tedious and repetitious. Some nice shots of Macao and the film is based to a very large degree on a real triad member who was recently arrested. There has been constant triad warfare on Macao to the point where tourists were being warned to stay away when I was there last year.

Not a great film - but worth watching if you are a Simon Yam fan. Ada Choi unfortunately has only a small thankless role as Yam's wife . It has a fine cast - Alex Fong, Kent Cheng, Michael Chan, Ben Ng and Moses Chan.
