Aka - Gang War in Naples

Camorra is one of the top Mafia groups in Italy. It is based in Naples though it has tentacles globally. Its history goes back to the late 1700s and at times it was huge and held a lot of power. By the time of this film, their power has been dramatically decreased but they still have their fingers into everything and violence is a major tool. This is the story of one young man brought into the family who perhaps reaches too high too fast.

Tonino (Fabio Testi) is in prison for two years when he saves an old man from being killed. The importance of this plays out late in the film. After he is released he goes back to his loving family and very attractive girlfriend (Germana Camachina), but both ambition and danger are on the horizon. He is hired to drive a truck but the owner is a member of Camorra. And he pulls Torino deeper and deeper into the activities of the gang. Not that he pushes back. He likes everything this new life gives him. He begins to dress better, drive a nice car but he has to beat up people and eventually is ordered to kill someone.

And he meets up with the mistress of the Boss (Raymond Pellegrin) and their hormones take over. She is played by Jean Seberg. Testi makes it easy to watch with his looks and smooth charisma. But watching him slowly getting corrupted from being a decent guy at the beginning to an ambitous killer by the end is inevitable but sad to watch.
