This is like ordering room service for me. Please a side dish of cartel bad guys having their throats cut but the main meal should be a massive body count of corrupt cops. Make the desert an old grandfather in a wheelchair with one shot left to kill with. And make the killer a female from Ukraine. Because they come tough in Ukraine. I only wish they had been Russians she was killing. Maybe in a sequel. This is a fanboy film - take your time setting it up so that when the killing begins, you are invested in the outcome. A female John Wick. There is so much wrong with this film from the acting to the corny family, but I can eat this stuff up every day. The professional killer is played by Oksana Orlan who I know nothing about, but she played Dominique in a short film (12 minutes) titled Rise of the Phoenix in 2015. She must have liked the role and nothing else was coming her way other than The Russian Bride, so she was a producer of this one with the same director. When she isn't killing anyone, she is a little stiff but fairly authentic in her killing scenes. She is lean and mean.

Dominique is part of a mob but has had enough. Flying to Columbia would not be my first choice. Considering the cartels are everywhere. Her plane comes down and she has to kill the three cartel baddies who come to see what is on the plane. One of them starts feeling her up and she quickly kills him and takes the cigarette out of his hand and smokes it. Hey, cigarettes are bad for your health. So is a knife through your throat. She makes her way to a small town that has an awful large police force. In a cantina, every guy in there looks like a killer in an old Western. She hooks up with the only man who doesn't have three days of whiskers. The next morning, she meets his family. The grandfather, his pregnant sister and three children - one who can't speak. As sweet a family as you will find. You want to love them. Hug them. But you know, you are just being set up for what is to come.

The guy she hooked up with turns out to be a cop - the only honest one and he has proof of corruption. They find out and come for the whole family. Kill them all. No witnesses. Dominique says oh hell - I might as well do what I can to protect them because they are so sweet. It seems every Columbian household has material to withstand an attack - and it becomes a killing field. Lights on. Lights off. Time to kill. Bonus points if you guess that the pregnant woman gives birth during all the killing. There may not be anyone left in Columbia to kill, so if there is a sequel she may have to go somewhere else. Moscow. Lots of killing to be done there. A low-budget female John Wick. Good enough.
