My motto is anything Sherlock and apparently that even includes cartoons from Warner Brothers. But it is Tom and Jerry and only 45 minutes. It has three big voice actors - Michael York as Sherlock, John Rhys-Davies as Watson and Malcolm McDowell as Moriarty. It is typical Tom and Jerry wam bang wam tripping over everything and everything falling on you silliness but it has a few comic notes. If I was 60 years younger, I probably would have laughed more. Maybe a good vehicle to put your children on the path to loving Holmes and Watson. Feline cat burglars are stealing diamonds with topnotch technology and flying contraptions. Sherlock gets a message delivered by Tom (that's the cat I think) that a performer at the Nigel Bruce Theater needs his help. Along with his assistants Watson and Jerry (the mouse if Tom is the cat) rushes off. She is the lovely Red singing that great classic Bumbershoot Bumbershoot. She is being blackmailed and Holmes immediately guesses as only he can that the jewel thieves are behind it. But behind it all is of course Professor Moriarty with a diabolical plan to steal the Crown Jewels! Dastardly.
