So you take Die Hard and Towering Inferno and mix them together and then add a pinch of The Lady from Shanghai and this taking place in Hong Kong just a smidgeon of Girls with Guns and you have a rather fun if extremely predictable film. To increase the Die Hard quotient you also throw in two children in harm's way besides just a wife and then - get this - you take away one of the hero's legs. And my guess is that this was pretty close to the pitch the producers made to the money men. I will admit to liking Dwayne Johnson - Ballers is one of my favorite TV shows - who acts exactly the same in every film whether it is Baywatch or Hercules or The Fast and Furious films - he will be a great Doc Savage I expect because we know exactly how he will portray the character.
